We are able to produce speakers of audio-phile quality for a fraction of the cost. The old way of bulky hard to incorporate-in-a-room-systems are now a thing of the past. With the dipole placement imaging is incredible and with depth beyond imagination, even when the speaker is faced backwards! Never has a speaker been so adaptable and with various designs to fit all environments. They are less efficient than most conventional drivers, thus reducing false harmonics, allowing instrument harmonics (the real ones) for more definition.
